It's for:

keep the yarn stable, reduces breakage/corrosion when pulled

Adjust the uniformity by feel and skill., something the machine doesn't have

reduce frictionAvoid creating fibrous strands in the first place.

Most importantly: this type of hand-spun yarn Not suitable for machine-line weaving. like many industrial fiber lines. The machine can weave fabric evenly and beautifully., But This hand-spun fabric does not meet the proper "yarn properties" standards. (especially when the goal is to preserve the natural, airy, and authentic feel of the raw silk).

Why is 90 days still needed?

90 days is not 90 days of "continuous work". It is the sum of:

time fiber processing

time weaving

time fabric surface after weaving

time Finishing – Fabric Inspection

And because it's handmade, everything depends on... skill + rhythm + precisionThere is no "speed boost" button, yet the output quality is maintained.

In what ways are handmade crafts "not as beautiful as machine-made"?

To help you communicate effectively and avoid false expectations, here are the facts:

Not perfectly uniformThe fabric surface has a "lively" feel, with varying thicknesses in different areas.

Not flashyHandicrafts that lean towards wood and natural materials.

Not perfect by industry standards. There will be a small margin of error.

But those very things create something that many high-end customers are looking for: honestyAnd when "authenticity" comes along... safety procedures, it becomes a form of value.

"Safety" is the real strength of handicrafts.

If we don't use "uniform beauty" as a standard, then handicrafts have a very clear strength: safe and controllable origin story.

know where the yarn comes from

know who did it

know how the process is maintained.

know what the fabric inspection standards are.

And for the heritage to endure, that chain must be linked to livelihoods, not just slogans.
