Tourists were impressed by the Nam Cao Silk Craft Village Tour on December 17th.

On December 17th, Hanhsilk, in collaboration with the Nam Cao Silk Cooperative, organized a skills competition among artisans from 10 villages: Nam Duong Tay, Nam Duong Dong, Cao Bat Doai, Cao Bat Trung, Cao Bat Dinh, Cao Bat Lu, Cao Bat Dong, Cao Bat Nam, Cao Bat E, and Cao Bat Thuong. This was combined with tourism activities related to the Nam Cao silk weaving village, such as visiting artisans' homes, having lunch with them, participating in the competition, and taking photos with traditional houses. Let's take a look at the experiences visitors had on December 17th!

Visiting the homes of artisans involved in spinning, reeling, winding, and weaving, including many ancient churches over 100 years old.

Visiting the silk weaving workshop, touching and feeling the silk products of the Nam Cao Silk Cooperative.

Enjoy a traditional Thai Binh lunch.

Become cheerleaders and judges in the silk weaving competition of the artisans of Nam Cao silk weaving village. This is the first competition in 400 years since the formation and development of the Nam Cao silk weaving village.

The The competition, which lasted for an hour and was filled with a range of emotions, has found the winners of the prestigious prizes:

First prize: Trong Thi Nhan – Cao Bat Doai

Second prize: Thanh Thi Nam – Cao Bat Trung

Third prize: Cao Thi Tuyet - Cao Bat Dinh

Once again, thank you to all the participating teams and artisans. This will undoubtedly be a beautiful and meaningful memory for both the tourists and the artisans involved.

At the end of the competition, visitors took photos in traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses at the old house with artisans and received gifts made of raw silk prepared by the Nam Cao – Hanhsilk Cooperative.
