How to care for and maintain men's linen shirts?

A men's silk shirt will look better and last longer if you wash and care for it properly. When wearing silk clothing, pay special attention to the following:

Notes on washing the shirt

Silk fabrics in general, and silk in particular, should not be dried or soaked in boiling water. Nor should bleach be used. Strong detergents or high temperatures will damage the silk fibers and cause them to fray easily. Only use mild detergents like those found in shower gel or laundry powder for cleaning. Even laundry detergent should be used sparingly, as its strong cleaning agents can significantly thin the silk fibers, causing them to quickly deteriorate, tear, or deform.

This method is best used with cotton silk. It not only cleans but also preserves the durability and original color of the product. If dry cleaning, wash the fabric instead of soaking it in water. Because when subjected to impact, heat, and friction, the silk fibers will break or become distorted. This leads to the garment wrinkling, losing its shape, losing its original shine, and not achieving high durability. Therefore, choosing hand washing will help the garment withstand the effects of water and prevent sudden twisting and wrinkling.

Things to note when drying clothes.

When wearing clothing made from this material, choose a dry, clean place. Avoid drying it in direct sunlight or exposing it to direct sunlight, as this will make the material brittle, stiff, dry, and prone to fading.

Notes on ironing clothes

If you want to clean silk fabrics, avoid using excessively high temperatures. High heat can damage silk, causing it to lose its durability and become hot and deformed. Use a temperature of around 120-140°C, or just warm up when the iron has cooled down completely. It's best to flatten the garment with the iron before ironing the reverse side. If ironing the outside, use hot water to wipe the fabric beforehand to prevent color fading.

It's best to iron the shirt while it's still slightly damp, as this allows for better air circulation. If the shirt is already dry, put it in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for about half an hour before cleaning.
